چکیده

Telocytes (TCs) are a particular type of interstitial (stromal) cells defined by very long, moniliform telopodes. Their tissue location, between blood vessels and other cells such as cardiomyocytes (CMC) and neurons, suggests a role in intercellular signalling. In order to define a microRNA (miR) signature in cardiac TCs, we have found that miR-193 is differentially expressed between TCs and other interstitial cells. Because miR-193 regulates c-kit, our data support the previous finding that TCs express c-kit in certain circumstances. In addition, the miRs which are specific to CMC and other muscle cells (e.g. miR-133a, miR-208a) are absent in TCs. Overall the data reinforce the view that TCs are a particular type of interstitial (mesenchymal) cells.

بررسی اثر آگونیست -آدرنرژیکی ایزوپروترنول بر بیان miR-886-3p و miR-23a در سلولهای بنیادی مزانشیمی مغز استخوان انسان

Background and Objective: Mobilization of Hematopoietic Stem Cells (HSCs) for transplantation and the importance of -adrenergic signals in induction of this process have been well investigated. However, little is known about the role of -adrenergic signals in mobilization of HSCs and factors influenced by these signals. The Chemokine Stromal Derived Factor -1 (SDF-1) which is expressed by hum...

PV-1 expression could distinguish the subset of caveolae-presenting telocytes that are endothelial progenitors.

Telocytes (TCs) are stromal cells with characteristic long, thin and moniliform prolongations termed telopodes. They were formerly termed interstitial Cajal-like cells. A characteristic set of markers to identify TCs in light microscopy has not been established until now. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is a better tool for identifying TCs. Telocytes display caveolae and can express cave...

Genetic comparison of mouse lung telocytes with mesenchymal stem cells and fibroblasts

Telocytes (TCs) are interstitial cells with telopodes - very long prolongations that establish intercellular contacts with various types of cells. Telocytes have been found in many organs and various species and have been characterized ultrastructurally, immunophenotypically and electrophysiologically (www.telocytes.com). Telocytes are distributed through organ stroma forming a three-dimensiona...

Telocytes as supporting cells for myocardial tissue organization in developing and adult heart

Recent evidence indicates that the adult heart contains sub-epicardial cardiogenic niches where cardiac stem cells and stromal supporting cells reside together. Such stromal cells include a special population, previously identified as interstitial Cajal-like cells and recently termed telocytes because of their long, slender processes (telopodes) embracing the myocardial precursors. Specific str...

Evidence for progressive reduction and loss of telocytes in the dermal cellular network of systemic sclerosis

Telocytes, a peculiar type of stromal cells, have been recently identified in a variety of tissues and organs, including human skin. Systemic sclerosis (SSc, scleroderma) is a complex connective tissue disease characterized by fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. We presently investigated telocyte distribution and features in the skin of SSc patients compared with normal skin. By an integr...
